Throwing/Altering/Carving

Number of Sessions:  Four 3-hour sessions
Course Fee:  $65.00

Description:
Using bowl and cylinder shapes, several variations will be explored.  This will be achieved by altering the shapes through cutting, adding and carving.    Instructor suggests the students research various pottery styles including art nouveau, art deco and natural elements.  The designs do not have to be complicated.  Each student will work within their skill level.

Materials:

• Clay of choice
• Tools for throwing and carving

Class Information:

• Skill Level:  Students need the ability to throw bowl and cylinder forms.
