Hand Building/Carving

Description:

Students will review hand building knowledge, determine item to be constructed, learn use of carving tools and possible addition of color to highlight pattern.  Both horizontal and vertical shapes will be constructed using patterns made in class and carving techniques explored.

• Clay of choice
• Hand building tools
• Small loop tool
