Textured Planter

Description:

Create this planter using lots of lovely texture!  You will be breaking a few rules in this class. You will create a planter using your bowl as a mold.  This is a very organic project and the textured outside surface will be enhanced with stain at the Cone 5 firing stage.  The inside surface will not be totally smooth so it is not appropriate for food.  You can hardly go wrong when making this project so come and enjoy the experience.

 

Materials:

• Speckled Buff clay
• Large, round bowl with no texture on inside 
• Texture tools (stamps, rollers, etc.)
• Basic hand building clay tools
