Abstract Image Transfer on Tile

Description: 
Have you ever wanted to make a tile for use in your home or to decorate a piece of furniture. Here's your opportunity to learn a technique and make a tile. The class will use a transfer process of your image or selected from one provided by the instructor. You will also make your own tiles.

Class 1:  (approximately 1 hour)
- make your own horsehair brush 
- Wrap with wire  ( optional) wrap with colored floss

Class 2:
- cut tile from slab
- on newsprint practice loose abstract paint technique using new horsehair brush with underglaze
- outline with deco bottle and black underglaze

Participants will learn:
- how to make a horsehair paintbrush 
- image transfer process 
- abstract lines and shapes using underglaze

Materials:

• Clay 
• Basic Clay tools
• Underglazes, and instructor will have some available too
• Small deco bottle with small tip for black underglaze
