Saddle Pot

Description:

Students will receive instruction and guidance to make a design and assemble a saddle pot. 

Materials:
 

• Section of swim noodle approximately 15-18 inches long by 2 1/2" in diameter
• Empty cereal box
• Old nylon stocking that will stretch over top and sides of box including the swim noodle that will be on the top of the box
• 1 bag of clay, your choice except paper clay
• Slip matching your clay body
• Texture tools, as doily, rollers, stamps
• Fettling knife
• Sponge
• Large plastic bag: garbage or dry cleaner
• Saran wrap enough to cover the cereal box
