Double Down - Magic/Fiber Clay Sculpture

Description:

Attendees will learn to work with Magic/fiber clay to create a "family" sculpture utilizing an aluminum foil armature.  This clay is a "non-fire" product but is stabilized with a hardener to achieve clay-like qualities, then painted with acrylic paints as desired.  Previous experience with Magic or fiber clay is desirable.  Basic knowledge of working with clay is necessary.  The project created will be a small sculpture depicting adults and children embracing.

Materials:

• Brushes
• Gloves
• Hand building tools
• Towels
• A materials bag will be available from the instructor for an additional $12 that includes 1/5th bag of clay, aluminum foil, and 8 ounces of hardener

Class Information:

• Skill Level/Pre-requisites:  Intermediate level, Basic Clay Class and some experience with magic or fiber clay
• Minimum/Maximum Students:  5 minimum, 5 maximum
