Tile Transfer

Description: 
Have you ever wanted to make a tile for use in your home or to decorate a piece of furniture. Here's your opportunity to learn a technique and make a tile. The class will use a transfer process of your image or selected from one provided by the instructor. You will also make your own tiles.

Class 1:  (approximately 1 hour)
- make your own horsehair brush 

Class 2:
- cut tile from slab
- select image to transfer, transfer to tile 
- practice paint technique using new horsehair brush 

Participants will learn:
- how to make a horsehair paintbrush 
- image transfer process

Materials:

• Clay of Choice OR DIANE should you just pick clay so one slab, and each cuts a tile or two
• Basic Clay tools
• Reference images for transfer  (some will be on hand from instructor)
• underglazes, and instructor will have some available too
